 Cucumber is a vegetable of the gourd family and as an ingredient in food that has many health benefits for us:

Prevent cancer: Cucumber is known to contain lariciresinol, pinoresinol, and secoisolariciresinol which has been linked to a reduced risk of some cancers, including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer and prostate cancer
Lose weight and improving digestion: Cucumber is an ideal food for people who undergo weight-loss program. High water content and dietary fiber in cucumber is very effective to cleanse the digestive system of toxins and daily consumption of cucumber are considered to treat chronic constipation.
